Two weeks of nothing

I will be going on vacation starting tomorrow evening – how exciting! Since my parents have gone for one of these things where you spend 3 days at the beginning and 3 days at the end literally doing nothing, I have brought quite a bit of books:

  1. Lonely Planet Iceland
  2. The handbook for my Nikon D40
  3. Cees Noteboom, “All Saint’s Day”
  4. Franz Kafka, “America”
  5. Anton Chekhov, “Das Leben in Fragen und Ausrufen”, a german collection of his humorous short stories
  6. Lev Tolstoy, “Anna Karenina” part 2
  7. My signal processing lecture

Interestingly, every single of these books is a german edition and I won’t bring my laptop nor my MP3 player, so I will have 14 days without any english at all. I wonder how crappy my english will have turned after that *hrr hrr*

Well, see you then, I hope!

Other female bloggers call this “housekeeping”

In a little half an hour of laziness, I have re-arranged some of my pages here, so that the content actually makes a little bit more sense. Although I think I am the only person who ever looks at those pages, I am now much happier about the new structure and thought I’d comment on it a bit.

  • Pyramid is the “About” page, more or less, these are my favourites and some of those points even define myself a little bit. This list is unlikely to change really because the majority on it is a little outburst of nostalgy.
  • Resources is the “Links” page, this is where I can be found on the internet and where I browse at to get inspiration for what films to watch.
  • Cinemathek is the previous “Wishlist”. I actually wanted to call it “Cinemathèque”, but the stupid layout didn’t permit it. It’s a list of films in my library and the ones I want. Also, there are some other items on my general wishlist.
  • Watchlist is still the same. Some films are sorted into categories, and the length of this watchlist is the main reason why I have kind of stopped looking out for films I want to watch. There are way too many of them already.
  • Index is still an index of films I have blogged about, only that I have now sorted short film collections separately from the rest. You can find them at the end of the list.
  • More lists now also features the comparison of my 2005 and 2008 favourites. There also is my current top 30 and the “infamous list that started everything”.

That’s all.

PS. It’s really true that I only know female bloggers who write an entry called “housekeeping” when they revamp their site.

Yay, K2!

It’s a great thing and looks so gorgeous, but actually there’s lots of things to do T_T For example – where is the “Meta” stuff at the sidebar? And I don’t like the blue either… I’ll change it into dark red or something, not sure yet. The worst thing is still that the font colour is too big. I like my “old” font a lot.

But still, I’m glad that my blog is getting a change – even though I loved my previous theme, I think this one is a lot better. And I was able to keep my beloved header pic! *~* And finally my gorgeous subtitle is showing again! *haha* I totally forgot about it.

At the beginning, I wanted to use Unsleepable, which I like even more, but the default settings for it are pretty crap and I want the whole style in black/orange which means I have even more to do *haha*

New domain!

Aaaah! *~* The gorgeous Milkmaster has managed to set up my blog on our new domain *____* Hopefully you have all found here again. You cannot believe how happy I am not to have to use the funpic address anymore.

Uh, uh, that’s all I guess.
